OUR PROCESS
1.Planning and Design:
This step is necessary for defining your goals for the space, whether its function, aesthetics, or expansion. It is also the time to set a budget with a contingency fund for unforeseen circumstances.
2. Obtaining Permits:
To stay in line with local zoning and building regulations it is important to obtain the necessary permits and approvals before your project begins.
3. Demolition:
The exciting time of clearing out old deteriorating components and preparing the area for the new design starts on demolition day.
4. Structural Changes & Framing:
This is the point in the renovation that includes structural modifications like taking out walls and adjusting the room layout. It is also the time to construct new walls and install framing to support the changes.
5. Plumbing, Electrical, and HVAC:
Often renovations are the time to update or reroute electrical wiring, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and plumbing to best suit the new plan.
6. Drywall Installation:
Drywall is applied to the newly framed walls and ceilings. The process includes mud, tape, and texture.
7. Flooring and Finishes:
With the walls in place it is time for new flooring, paint, trim, lighting switches, and outlets to be installed.
8. Cabinetry, Plumbing & Electrical Fixtures:
Assembled cabinetry, countertops, sinks, faucets, and toilets as well as light fixtures and ceiling fans come next. At this point, everything that is to be affixed in the room is installed.
9. Final Touches:
The remodeled space is thoroughly cleaned for a final inspection to ensure all the work meets quality standards. Interior design touches like furnishing, decor, and window treatments are added.
10. Final Walkthrough & Project Completion:
If necessary, final inspections are obtained and the newly remodeled living space is turned back over to you. It is now ready for you to enjoy.

Home Additions Contractors
As your general contractors, we will help you create the extra space you’ve been saving and planning for. Similar to our renovation process, we follow specific steps to create all new spaces. Common home additions to homes include:
- A Second Floor or Loft: Expand your living space without increasing your home’s footprint by adding a full second story or loft. Building up can allow you to take advantage of scenic views or add the privacy of a home office.
- A Basement: a basement is an ideal place for an extra bedroom and bathroom, a storage room, an entertainment room, or an exercise room. Basements have the advantage of being much easier and less costly to add on, as well as being nice and cool during those long summer months.
- Separate Living Quarters: Multigenerational families often appreciate having separate living quarters. This way they can enjoy being close and taking care of each other while maintaining privacy and independence.
- A Sunroom: If you want to get more sunlight while staying out of the weather, adding a sunroom is a perfect option. Often these rooms are built like fully enclosed porches without insulation, but for more temperature control they can be insulated and ventilated.
- An Extra Bathroom: Our area’s growth is not just from people moving here, but also from expanding families. If you’re in a home that’s feeling cramped, adding a new full or half bathroom can take off a lot of the pressure that’s building up.
